Update: Back At It!

I had hip replacement surgery for my left hip in January this year (I had right hip replacement in 2002).


I was in pain for about 4 months before I decided to have the left hip replaced, and have been in recovery since January, and am making good progress.

I regained a lot of weight that I had worked so hard to take off in the interim, but now I am back on track, walking 2 miles daily, and occasionally walking 3 miles.

I am progressing slow but sure. I will do the same routine that I used to take off the blubber before, sensible diet, daily walking along with pushups and squats.

Thanks for the kind words to all! I am still making progress, but have some to go before being back in good shape as I was before. The walking program as advocated on this great website is getting me there, though, but I have had to take it easier than before, having to gradually build up again.

You continue to amaze Bob. Way to go. You are indeed an inspiration for all.

First you had very significant weight loss, then you worked you way out of the need for high blood pressure medication and now you are beating back the aftereffects of hip surgery.

Maybe it is you that should write book my friend :-)
