How Is Life Going In Ecuador?

by Bob

Yoko and Geoff, I have read so many good things about Ecuador, that it is no suprise that people want to retire there.

I hope to travel extensively in the near future, staying for a month or longer in some of my selected countries to visit.

In the Western Hemisphere, I would like to visit Ecuador, Peru, Belize, and Panama. I was thrilled a couple of years ago with Costa Rica, so it has given me an urge to see more of this part of the world.

I am still doing Fitness Walking Number Two, and am maintaining my desired weight. Best regards.

Walking has always been a good way of making sure that you body is fit and also can be a good way by which you can increase your stamina and keep yourself stronger and healthier as ever immune from diseases.

Well, after reading this I do feel like spending my retired life over Ecuador. The serenity and the peaceful aura of the place are so compelling and I am making up mind to find a good place over there to buy.

Ecuador is WONDERFUL!

Great to hear from you again Bob. Thanks for inquiring.

Life here is very wonderful with great people, great weather, healthy climate and food, low cost of many things. If you would like specific information I would encourage you to email us at - - and we would be happy to give you more links and detailed info that really is off topic for our website here.

One new and very exciting development that we just have to share with you now though is a a new condo style development that our friends are building here in town. It will be ready in about a year.

This is a luxurious, multi lifestyle community with facilities for independent living, supported living or assisted living based on your needs. Clearly at our age these needs tend to change over time. One and two bedroom units sell for $69,000-$83,000 and monthly fees are around $75. If you were ever to need 24/7 nursing care that would be under $1,000 per month.

There are many extras - pool, massage, spa, medical services, restaurant, lounge, social center, two blocks from the hospital, beautiful gardens, stunning view of Mt Imbaburra - one of two long dormant volcanoes in the area and so on.

The people building it are friends and neighbours. They have a similar and very successful operation in the UK. They're seniors and after many years of world travel and a successful career have decided to settle here in the Andes.

Needless to say we are very excited about this development. So much so in fact that we are developing a new website to help share the many incredible facets of this facility. Life most good cookin' this takes time and won't 'be there' for another couple of months.

In the meantime though if you or anyone else would like more info on this or Ecuador just do get in touch via private email. Again our address is - - and we will fill you in.

And yes, we have already picked out our units!

Take care and keep on walking Bob!
