It's Been A While
by: Nolan

It has been a while since I last posted anything here but I've still been walking.

I took December off because of the cold. But now the weather has been beautiful here in Atlanta. I started walking last April and have been faithfully doing it ever since. My best time for 5 miles is 1:01:51 and for 10 miles it is 2:11:47. Also I have found other people that want to start a walking group. They are not as fast as I am yet, but we are working together to all raise our levels.

Not bad for me, a 52 year old. LOL.

Fall Walking
by: Nolan

Here in Georgia the weather is beginning to change. But we still have been having warm afternoons and my powerwalking is going well.

Hamstring is almost healed and my times are showing it. My average pace for my 5mi powerwalk (3-4 per week) is 13:07. I plan on continuing to walk during the winter months.

Will be interested in seeing how my pacing time may change.

Year Round Walking

Nolan - way to go. Keep at it!

You might want to have a look at our Winter Wonderland Walking page for ideas on what to do through the winter months.

Just use common sense in varying how much or how little of the adjustments you make in clothing and so on based on your part of the world and what the weather is like there during the winter months
